Brand Designer

Mightybell is seeking an innovative Brand Designer ready to make their mark on the world. We want someone to drive not only the visual and emotional design of a totally revamped brand but the execution of it through every touchpoint. We’re looking for someone on a project basis or full-time, depending on experience and career goals.

Our ideal Brand Designer has a strong sense of where the world is going culturally and how technology will play a key role in its development. We’re especially interested in candidates with passion and curiosity for mobile apps, camera-driven communication and creating brands in a post-mobile world.


Responsibilities
  • Create a strong Mightybell brand that is current and culturally relevant to the next generation of Hosts and members of identity networks
  • Deliver the Mightybell website as the anchor branding for the company. Augment and extend it with landing pages, presentation materials, event experiences and our social media presence.
  • Offer an unique and strong point of view not just on visual and emotional branding design but messaging, copy and the entire brand experience of Mightybell
  • Ability to motivate and excite those around you towards a meaningful brand and message
  • Report to VP of Marketing with strong input from the VP of Product

Product Designer

As a Mightybell Product Designer, you’ll be joining our two-person Product Design team, driving the design, development and evolution of our native mobile apps and responsive web application. We’re looking for someone who has done it before, but approaches each new product with fresh eyes and energy.


Our ideal candidate:
  • Drives new feature development from start to finish: creating user flows, wireframes and designs for Mightybell’s responsive web product and native mobile apps
  • Is comfortable collaborating on product definition and product roadmaps
  • Sets product requirements in line with customer needs and business objectives
  • Works cross-functionally with engineering and community strategists to launch features on time
  • Defines and monitors product launch readiness and success metrics
  • Analyzes results and synthesizes learnings for team to improve or inform new features
Profile
  • We are looking for someone with a high bar for product quality, a laser focus on detail, who is energized by prioritizing features and devising clear action plans. You love to evaluate the success or failure of features and use data to guide next steps.
  • Familiarity with, if not mastery of, our favorite tools is a must: Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, Proto.io, and After Effects. You must also be comfortable with HTML and CSS.
  • Native and Mobile Web design experience is required. As well as a very strong understanding of design patterns for both Android and iOS.
  • We are looking for a bold, passionate contributor with a start-up work ethic, enterprise professionalism and a hunger to build an important company with experienced entrepreneurs, engineers and blue chip backers.
  • Video and camera-focused mobile app product design experience is a huge plus. Ditto for experience conducting in-person user studies.

Full Stack Engineer

In this role, you’ll:
  • Own entire features sets: definition, design and development
  • Mentor other engineers as we continue to grow our team
  • Help out in building the core infrastructure for our engineering team
  • Have full ownership of critical components of the platform
  • Work closely with other developers and our team to tackle business problems using the best technologies available
  • Proactively contribute ideas for new features as well as identify areas for improvement
Who we’re looking for:
  • Strong understanding of Web technologies and distributed systems
  • 5+ years of industry experience doing full stack software development
  • 3+ years in Ruby on Rails development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and at least two front-end JS frameworks
  • Experience desiging and developing REST APIs
  • Experience with NOSQL and SQL data storage, experience with Elasticsearch a plus
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent software engineering, design and architecture skills
  • Familiarity with Unix shell tools development environment
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude who has relentless desire to improve quality and quantity of her output
  • Team player with strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Analytics/Data Engineer

In this role, you’ll:
  • Own the Mighytbell data pipeline from instrumentation to storage to visualization
  • Design and develop internal and customer-facing dashboards
  • Design and implement efficient algorithms and new approaches for ranking recommended content and adding personalization
  • Mentor other engineers as we continue to grow our team
  • Have full ownership of critical components of the platform
  • Work closely with other developers and our team to tackle business problems using the best technologies available
  • Proactively contribute ideas for new features as well as identify areas for improvement
Who we’re looking for:
  • At least 5+ years of industry experience and you have built a data pipeline before
  • Experience with NOSQL and SQL data storage, experience with Elasticsearch a plus
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools from Highchart to Panda
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent software engineering, design and architecture skills

Editorial Director

Mightybell is seeking an innovative Editorial Director who will help us cleverly tell and distribute the stories of Mightybell, and the next generation of Hosts and members of identity networks on Mightybell.

Our ideal Editorial Director will be akin to the Host/Editor-In-Chief of Mightybell. This person is passionate about storytelling and community building from videos to posts to podcasts and beyond. The Editorial Director’s dream is to create a celebrated branded editorial strategy and develop stories around Mightybell that’s culturally relevant and meaningful to the prospective Hosts and members across Mightybell Networks. This person will also manage a team that may include an editorial coordinator who will help us tell the stories of our platform.

  • Put Mightybell on the map with a provocative reason-to-exist reinforced by stories of identity networks that capture the imagination and motivation of our next generation of Hosts and members of identity networks on Mightybell, as communicated via:
    • Mightybell website, landing pages and campaign conversion (transition out of engineering)

    • #mightyballer education and tutorials
    • #mightyballer network
    • #mightyballer media distribution, SEO, social media (paid and organic)

  • Motivate and excite those around you to create meaningful and impactful content.

Profile
  • You are an experienced multimedia storyteller as comfortable with short, provocative messaging that stands out in social media as you are with longer written profile stories and video and audio pieces
  • You have a great portfolio that demonstrates range, diversity and creativity that fits our goal of telling the stories of interest-based or “identity” networks over the past few years and well into the next decade
  • You can deliver a fantastic headline or soundbite and understand why it’s important in an age of short attention spans
  • You are comfortable experimenting, taking risks and aren’t afraid of new forms of storytelling on mobile video and audio – you’re always looking for innovative ways to tell stories that reach the most people where they are in 2017 and beyond.
